In the early morning of Feb. 6, 2022, a Romanian murders his girlfriend in Neutraubling near Regensburg with 24 knife wounds. She has a child from another relationship that she had very early. At the time of the crime, mother and daughter are in the same bed. The perpetrator intended to traumatize the daughter, as will be explained later in court. A divorce had presented itself, which the perpetrator did not want to accept.
After the crime, he called the police. He is arrested in the apartment. The daughter is returned to her biological father.
In November, the trial begins before the court in Regensburg. A witness reports who spoke to the perpetrator online a few days before the crime about 15 years in prison. By the end of November, there is already a verdict: life in prison.
One can argue whether this is an honor killing or the act of an impulsive alcoholic perpetrator of violence. The many knife stabs and the staging of the crime may indicate a motive of honor, but also special cruelty.
